On Jan. 22, 1927, a tragic bus-train collision near Round Rock took the lives of ten Baylor basketball players. These young men were more than just athletes; they were cherished members of the Baylor community.
Aurora, Colo., senior and Student Body President Lily Davis said that one thing she hopes to implement is a game day participation incentive modeled after one created by the University of Cincinnati which could see students winning prizes for attending games.
“So by incorporating the technology, it will allow us to take virtual programming into pockets of the community and or communities that otherwise could not get here, and we can do that at a much more affordable rate,” Wiley said.

It’s staycation weekend, which means it’s time to take a rest from two weeks of labor and scout out the Waco scene. Here are some activities to get you out, about and away from that assignment you’ve been stuck on.
Time as an adult is like water in a desert. If it’s found, it must be planned around and rationed out accordingly. If you’re not careful, the allure of its thirst-quenching nature can lead to taking it all in one gulp.
Monday. Judgment day. The day of days. Everyone despises the first day of the week, the day that rips our relaxing weekend away and brings us back to reality with a cold, hard and unforgiving slap. Yeah, Monday sucks. Everyone knows this, and just about everyone agrees. But what I feel everyone is overlooking is just how bad Sunday is.
A predominantly rap-heavy lineup, this year’s halftime show won’t be a meme; it will be legendary.
Baylor has grown tremendously in the last several years, and with the recent NCAA championship, Baylor has received a lot more attention. However, to some, the new Paul and Alejandra Foster Pavilion might not be the best way to show off that newfound love.
What distinguishes this path from today’s misguided ones is that it presents modesty as an opportunity to honor and cherish ourselves, not as a chore that must be done to prevent others from looking at us in an impure way, but above all, modesty is about empowerment and self-worth.
Staying together for the kids isn’t really better for the kids.
