Nonchalance is the enemy. It’s birthed out of fear or the assumption that another person might find us “weird” or too talkative. The effects of not opening up out of fear and losing meaningful connections are more harmful than coming off as “too much.”
“I think it’s definitely a lesson learned. We maybe didn’t do so well for this game, so we just took it to the next game and went here and out,” Littlepage-Buggs said. “We do have these next couple games coming up, and we are probably going to get really detailed about what things we could’ve done better and how to, because they have somebody tall, move with them and move the ball and where we could score at.”
With a winning pedigree against SMU, an improved doubles team, and strong bonds between teammates, Baylor men’s tennis will look to return to its winning ways at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex in Dallas.
Recent winter chills and freezing temperatures caught many by surprise and also risked the health of many. The flu is currently spreading around campus, but current bronchitis and pneumonia outbreaks are creating a riskier health setting.

Five Baylor students and two Baylor-associated organizations received recognition for their volunteer work at the Mission Waco Mission World banquet Tuesday.
The students won Volunteer of the Year awards. Brooks Residential College and Zeta Zigga Zamma received special recognition.
The awards give the nonprofit a chance to recognize its volunteers, said Seth Dorrell, director of Mission World and volunteer director.
Another low-cost grocery store has arrived in Waco, and it’s not Walmart or H.E.B.
Aldi, a German discount grocery store, will be open for business Feb. 28 on the corner of Wooded Acres and Valley Mills drives.
According to their website, Aldi opened its first store in Germany in 1913 and came to the U.S. in 1976.
Christians crossed ethnic boundaries Thursday to explore how Waco churches serve immigrants in the community.
Only a few days after a bipartisan group of U.S. senators agreed on a way to overhaul the current immigration system, Calvary Baptist Church came together with 20 local churches during “God’s Heart toward Immigrants,” to challenge how immigrants were seen in the church.
Mission Waco volunteers will celebrate their past year of service to the Waco community on Tuesday.
The Mission Waco Banquet will take place at 6 p.m. Tuesday in
Chisholm Hall of the Waco Convention Center.
Covid-19
“Since July 1st, Baylor’s campus has had nine positives out of 48 tests,” Stern said. “And in the last month alone, we have had seven positives out of 29 tests, which is almost a 25% positivity rate.”

Lilia Gonzalez, director of nurses, said Health Services would remain available to monitor potential measles outbreaks and help students. Though the Texas measles outbreak has ended, Health Services continues providing preventative measures for other potential outbreaks.
