That is what makes “Fresh” a truly psychological horror. Take away all of the fake blood and body parts and the viewer is left with a story devoid of hope for almost its entire run time. This movie stays with you, and the longer it does, the more upsetting it becomes.

The third annual Waco Family & Faith International Film Festival took place over the weekend throughout several venues in Waco. Many films shared powerful messages and gave each audience something to contemplate.
In no particular order, these documentaries present a diverse idea of Black history in America. From music to politics, history and current events, these documentaries focus not just on struggles for equality, but also on a flourishing culture.
Other than the actors, I found the basis of the show to be unique and interesting. Sharing some characteristics with “The Shining” and “Rosemary’s Baby,” the show still found a way to keep its story fresh, and scares sudden and shocking, even if a little muted.
