After seeing it in theaters, “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” exceeded my expectations. Not only was the acting great, but the plot and effects were up to par as well. I felt that this version also paid homage to the original “Ghostbusters” movie and the original characters.
“Everyone’s here early, everyone’s working and they really are passionate about what they’re doing,” Pflugerville sophomore Winston Ross said. “It’s that level of passion that brings advancement.”
“I do think, especially at this age, this stage when you’re a young adult, it’s important to realize that things are bigger than just yourself,” Dawn Watson, parent of an ATO member, said. “Anytime you can support a group’s philanthropy, such as Make-A-Wish or CoHOPE, I think it’s a good thing to do.”
Overall, if you’re looking for a nice place to grab a bite to eat, then I’d definitely recommend Slow Rise Slice House.
Overall, I think the movie is worth a watch, but a one-time watch. This isn’t a movie I personally would want to go back multiple times to see, or rave about it to my friends. It was just OK.
There’s typically a lot of death in slasher movies — to no one’s surprise. However, there’s generally a certain amount of suspense and buildup that makes slasher movies interesting and frightening. “Halloween Kills” lacked a lot of that.
Of all the candy in the world to buy, why buy candy corn to give out to kids?

“To me, one person by themselves doesn’t make a statement, it’s when they are a group of people that they become the paintings,” artist Ines Alvidres said.
“We wanted to give something back to the community,” ranch hand Quentin Sanchez said. “[A pumpkin patch] bigger and better than what they’re used to, like how we enjoyed as little kids.”
“Anytime you get people who are of different races, different socioeconomic situations in the same room and they start conversing with each other and looking at art, it’s powerful medicine,” artist Susan Lee Sistrunk said.
By having Student Productions partner with Baylor Chamber of Commerce and Taste of Waco to hype up the excitement, After Dark makes history selling out both shows in Waco Hall.
“At my best I am a humorist, not a comedian. Comedy is fairly easy, while humor is really difficult,” local writer David Mosley said. “Sometimes humor is the strongest protection we have.”

“It’s vunk, valuable junk. Not just pathetic junk,” Carol Casey, founder of Vunkology said. “No one wants to buy pathetic junk.”
“As we’re starting to bring in more people we’re hoping to diversify the voices that are in here,” gallery manager Sarah Beth Rogers said. “To start finding newer artists, younger artists, black and brown artists, people who are in the LGBTQ community and the disabled community, that’s a big goal of ours.”
With a population of around 3,000 people, the town of West is seen as a tight-knit community known for its deeply-rooted Czech culture, which tourists can see from its food stops, traditional music shops and long-established clothing stores.
“For me, there’s not many miracle drugs out there like Naloxone,” Ettinger said. “We have lives saved because of it.”
As an avid book reader and movie-goer, I’ve never been a fan of remakes or reboots in general, because, as many can agree, they do not usually live up to their original counterparts. However, after watching the film, I feel that while the movie did not live up to the works of the original, it was very entertaining.
