Drawing inspiration from the beauty of Baylor’s campus, Stokes painted a series of works over the COVID-19 lockdown, many depicting Pat Neff Hall. Because the campus was so empty at the time, Stokes said she was able to bring her supplies to the peaceful campus and create several open-air paintings under the sun.

You don’t have to look very far to find Baylor students going above and beyond. This time, look no further than the art department, where a varied collection of artwork is currently on display.

The Martin Museum of Art is hosting the Baylor Art Student Exhibition, which started on March 28 and will run until April 17 in Gallery 1 and 2. The exhibition is free and open to the public.

This semester Baylor has added a new course to the curriculum for Medical Humanities majors and minors. The course, Medical Humanities 3300: Visual Arts and Healing, is focused on the study of healing through art techniques that will fine tune and enhance motor skills.
