Lost in the excitement of Saturday’s spring football game, Baylor landed former University of Tennessee running back Jalen Hurd.

Baylor baseball flexed its offensive muscles during its midweek series with Prairie View A&M, tagging the Panthers’ pitching staff for 33 runs on 38 hits, en route to a two-game midweek series sweep.

After the Baylor Women’s basketball season ended with a 94-85 overtime loss to Mississippi State in the Elite Eight, the program has been imbedded with change, first with the transfers of three players, including sophomore Beatrice Mompremier, graduation and pursuit of professional dreams by Alexis Jones, Alexis Prince, Nina Davis and Khadijah Cave.

Only one Baylor football player was drafted in the 2017 NFL draft, however, four others see their careers continue through free agent signings.

There is now an open seat on the bench next to Baylor head coach Scott Drew as longtime assistant Paul Mills has left the program to be the man in charge at Oral Roberts University.

After finishing stellar regular seasons, both the Baylor Men’s and Women’s tennis teams will play host to the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament.

Baylor softball was tested three straight games and managed to take two of them from Texas, on its way to earning the No. 2 seed in next weekend’s Big 12 Conference Tournament in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Baylor baseball relied on solid pitching performances from senior Nick Lewis and junior Montana Parsons as well as its bullpen in taking two of three games from the Jayhawks over the weekend.
