Baylor volleyball was looking to take the next step as a program. The Bears reached the NCAA tournament for the first time — 18 years after joining the NCAA. That season set the trajectory for the program’s recent success.

Redshirt sophomore guard Taliah Scott delivered on her high expectations Monday, leading No. 16 Baylor women’s basketball to an upset win over No. 7 Duke. Scott’s 24 points lifted the Bears to their first top-10 win in almost two years.

The Knights had allowed just seven first-quarter points heading into Saturday, but after less than nine minutes of play, the Bears took command with a 14-0 lead. Baylor now sits above .500 after taking its first two-touchdown lead since September.

Men's Basketball
Injury-riddled and coming off an overtime loss, the Bears return to Foster Pavilion in need of some momentum.
Freshmen led the way for both teams, as Baylor’s VJ Edgecombe (28 points) and Robert O. Wright III (22 points) and BYU’s Kanon Catchings (23 points) led their respective teams in scoring.
After a 15-point win against Utah on Saturday, the Bears find themselves clashing with a sharpshooting BYU offense in one of the most intimidating environments in the Big 12.
Women's Basketball
Former Lady Bear Brittney Griner had her jersey retired before Baylor’s conference game against Texas Tech on Sunday in the Foster Pavilion.
The Bears have lost six of their last 10 contests dating back to Jan. 10.
Baylor head coach Nicki Collen said the Sooners play with “great pace.”
Equestrian
Baylor will enter the 2015 National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling National Championship as the one-seed. The National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Assocation announced the entire tournament bracket on Wednesday.
Baylor acrobatics & tumbling completed a perfect regular season for the first time in program history after beating the No. 2, four-time national champion University of Oregon for the second time this season in front of a passionate home crowd at the Ferrell Center on Sunday.
No. 3 Baylor equestrian was named the No. 2 overall seed in the NCEA National Championships on April 16-18 at the Extraco Events Center in Waco.
Tennis
No. 10 Baylor men’s tennis looked to take down one of the best teams in the nation on Wednesday night in the Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center, but No. 3 Texas Christian University came in strong and took down the Bears 4-1.
The Bears failed to get much going as they lost to the Gators. It’s Baylor’s second loss of the season.
It was a record-setting night on Friday in the Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center as an all-time high of 452 fans showed up to support the Bears. Despite the constant energy and noise, No. 11 Baylor men’s tennis dropped a hard fought match 5-2 against No. 4 University of Michigan.
