Men's Basketball
Baylor men’s basketball kicked off its 2011-12 season with Moonlight Madness Friday at the Ferrell Center, as part of ESPN’s Midnight Madness.
Baylor hasn’t seen anything like the Moonlight Madness event happening at the Ferrell Center this Friday since 2003. It should be fun for spectators and athletes alike, and it will give the university more national television exposure.

Saturday could not have gone any better for the Lady Bears, as three players finished in double figures and everybody got playing time in a 70-39 win over Oklahoma State.
The Huskies’ NCAA-record 90-game winning streak ended Thursday night with a loss to Stanford. Their nearly three-year hold on the top ranking ended Monday when they were overtaken by Baylor and dropped to No. 2 in The Associated Press poll. Connecticut had been the top team for a record 51 straight weeks, beginning Feb. 18, 2008.
One down, two to go for the No. 2 Lady Bears as they look to emerge from a dangerous three-game stretch of non-conference matchups that will bring Minnesota to Waco this Sunday at 1 p.m. and No. 9 Tennessee to the Ferrell Center Dec. 14.
