All Are Neighbors, held in the Cashion Academic Center, drew 270 ticketed attendees, totaling 352 people, including VIP guests and speakers, nearly filling all available seats. The event was created in response to TPUSA’s presence on campus, but speakers and organizers consistently emphasized that the gathering was not merely reactive. Instead, it functioned as a faith-centered call to action, rooted in Christian teaching and expressed through civic engagement.

This summer Baylor will offer a specialty line camp specifically designed with Honors College members in mind. The new line camp, which is similar to the already established engineering and computer science specialty camp, will overlap with regular summer line camp sessions but will split the honors session students from the rest of the line camp participants.

When I think of the rights that are unique to American citizens, one of the first things that comes to my mind is the right to free speech. Since the birth of the United States, citizens have been able to share their thoughts without restriction from the government, excepting of course the Sedition Act put into effect in 1918 that was quickly shot down in 1920 after the end of World War I.

It really is the little things in life that make the difference. It’s amazing how just a short chat and a food run with a good friend will brighten a day clouded by disappointing news.

Central Texas was rocked in November 2009 by a gruesome shooting spree at the Fort Hood army post in Killeen. Now, more than a year later, nothing can comfort the families more than knowing a loved one’s death was not taken lightly by the United States Army.
