Alice Curtis, 96, has experienced a lifetime of Baylor Homecomings. She was there in 1949 for the last season in the wooden grandstands of the Waco Municipal Stadium. She was there in 1974, when Grant Teaff led the turnaround that became the Miracle on the Brazos. She was there in 2010, the season in which Robert Griffin III took home Baylor’s first and only Heisman Trophy.

While Gov. Mitt Romney, vying for the Republican nomination, campaigned in Illinois, he spoke to a crowd at the University of Chicago. Answering a question concerning the extreme expenses of student loans and the availability of employment opportunities, Romney said, “I don’t see how a young American can vote for a Democrat.”
For the first time since the class of 2012 arrived at Baylor, students were able to enjoy their spring break on the second full week of March.
Spring break is officially over and it’s time for students to get back to the reality of business as usual: homework, papers, projects and exams, while also making a point to enjoy what time we have left at Baylor this year.
Most students complain. We complain about homework. We complain about lacking sleep. We complain about early classes. Heck, we even complain about afternoon classes.
The DREAM Act and its supporters have caused a stir in the melting pot, and it’s time for Baylor to get cooking, too. Student Senate asked the university to take a public stance supporting the Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act with a bill passed March 8, and it is indeed time for the university to do so.
