Trump was sworn in at noon and gave his second inaugural address shortly after. Then, he headed to the Capital One Arena to be surrounded by 20,000 of his supporters and for the indoor inaugural parade, which saw speakers including tech billionaire Elon Musk.
Trump won the state across border security and economic lines on top of his perceived toughness on some cultural issues like “wokeness,” a return to conservative values and more.
Despite the differences in political parties and ideologies of these first-time voters, each of them emphasized one commonality: unity.
“The hope in Christ is what shaped him,” Gardner said. “His message and methods of activism were deeply rooted in the Bible, the ministry of Jesus and, of course, the prophets.”

John Cornyn in the state’s U.S. Senate contest that claimed national attention. The total early-voting turnout of more than 2.5 million marks the highest ever for a midterm primary election. The results also kicked off the 2026 midterm cycle.
