As of Thursday evening, predictions from The Weather Channel show Friday bringing mostly rain, but as temperatures go below freezing overnight and stay there Saturday, precipitation will go from freezing rain during the day and change into a wintry mix in the evening. Sunday, as of now, is expected to be mostly clear, with the storm ending overnight. But forecasts have been ever-changing as the week goes on, previously predicting multiple inches of snow.

Roni’s Mac Bar opened its second Waco location earlier this month, expanding beyond its store inside Union Hall with a standalone storefront designed to reach a wide variety of customers. The new location provides more space, a drive-thru and a restructured menu, offering a different experience than the original downtown spot.

In today’s world, where headphones, cellphones and endless scrolling dominate daily life, the simple act of saying “Hi, how are you?” and “Good morning” is long gone. Streets, neighborhoods and stores are busier than ever, yet somehow quieter at the same time. Places that once felt lively now feel like spaces we merely pass through while running errands. A Baylor sophomore found the blood-covered body of a man at 9 a.m. Thursday while running along the Brazos River near the 200 block of University Parks Drive.

An abandoned building on what was once the campus of Waco College, later called Paul Quinn College, is getting a makeover. On Thursday, Rapoport Academy Public School will begin renovating the dilapidated building that once hosted the students of a college founded to educate those newly freed from slaves.
