The Baylor Counseling Center (BUCC) hosted its annual “Hope, Peace, Love” event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday on the first floor of the Baylor Sciences Building. Students stopping by on their way to class could participate in activities like decorating cookies, creating friendship bracelets, playing games and entering giveaways for prizes at the various tables set up for the event.
“This is our 53rd year of service, and we get to continue to build off of over 50 years of legacy of people who came before us to do really wonderful things on campus,” Ma said. “We are one of the most unique student groups not only on campus but throughout the nation to do the things we do.”
The annual Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day is dedicated to empowering women in STEM and encouraging the next generation of girls to pursue learning and careers in technical fields.
Baylor Asian Ministry InterVarsity is a chapter of a national ministry that strives to “establish and advance at colleges and universities witnessing communities of students and faculty who follow Jesus as Savior and Lord: growing in love for God, God’s Word, God’s people of every ethnicity and culture and God’s purposes in the world,” according to its website.

Texas voters turned out in historic numbers Tuesday, delivering victories for State Rep. James Talarico and forcing a runoff between Attorney General Ken Paxton and incumbent Sen. John Cornyn in the state’s U.S. Senate contest that claimed national attention. The total early-voting turnout of more than 2.5 million marks the highest ever for a midterm primary election. The results also kicked off the 2026 midterm cycle.

Gas prices in Texas have surged more than 70 cents per gallon since the U.S. went to war with Iran three weeks ago.
