To be clear, I wouldn’t trade Dia for anything. If you asked me if I’d rather go to homecoming events or take a day off, I’d take my free Tuesday any time. But I believe homecoming inspires a lot more feelings of warm fuzziness for the university than Dia does, with zero risk of sunburn and a whole lot less sweaty grossness.
The Golden Wave Band led the parade of cars with advertising by local businesses. It finished at Carroll Field, where onlookers watched the Bears win the Homecoming game against Texas Christian University. Now, the SUB stands on the site of that historic win and serves an equally central role in student life.

In artist Jack Bower’s new exhibit, “Perspectivism,” he wants the viewer to challenge themselves. The exhibit, which will run from September 1 through November 5 at Art Center Waco, tricks the eye and makes viewers think twice about what they expect to see and what is actually there.
“Admitting that we’re human does good things for all of us. Avoiding the tyranny of the perfect is something we’d all better address.”
“But, going on stage and taking the award out of this poor girl’s hands who didn’t choose to get selected for it either, was just not a good look. While I agree with basically everything he said, it’s just a matter of execution. You make yourself the villain, especially as a black man.”

Nobody could top the worst-dressed and least on-theme celebrities of the night being Kylie Jenner and Sebastian Stan. Jenner caused a complete meltdown on Twitter by wearing a baseball cap to the Met Gala, which is unacceptable no matter the theme, and was made only more confusing by her pairing it with an actual wedding dress and a mesh top.
