Hopefully, her fans who believe theories about a double album release are correct, because I think “Midnights” needs a do-over.

To be clear, I wouldn’t trade Dia for anything. If you asked me if I’d rather go to homecoming events or take a day off, I’d take my free Tuesday any time. But I believe homecoming inspires a lot more feelings of warm fuzziness for the university than Dia does, with zero risk of sunburn and a whole lot less sweaty grossness.

The Golden Wave Band led the parade of cars with advertising by local businesses. It finished at Carroll Field, where onlookers watched the Bears win the Homecoming game against Texas Christian University. Now, the SUB stands on the site of that historic win and serves an equally central role in student life.

“I didn’t know any of them, but I know that they made an impact on the art department,” Almon said. “It’s really cool to see everybody come together for these events and appreciate the work of people who worked here.”

According to two Baylor professors, the figureheads of this movement take advantage of their fans for money and fame — at great cost.

Mosaic is unlike most churches. Attendees of a service at Mosaic can expect to hear things they may have never heard in church before. Pastor Malcolm Foley wants the church to “reshape for folks what ought to be normal.”

For the Nov. 8 election, the deadline to request an absentee ballot from one’s home county is Friday, Oct. 28 by 5 p.m. Should a student prefer to vote in McLennan County, they must make the county their permanent residence by Oct. 11, this is also the deadline to register to vote.

Hope is in no short supply for Austin junior Hailey Pearson. Graduating from college has been a dream of hers since childhood, one that she’s determined to fulfill no matter how many early mornings on the road it takes.

Sunnn is a band for old souls, those who enjoy the likes of Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Lumineers and Greta Van Fleet, and their mission is to bring back the folksy, blues and classic rock style of the 1970s.

In artist Jack Bower’s new exhibit, “Perspectivism,” he wants the viewer to challenge themselves. The exhibit, which will run from September 1 through November 5 at Art Center Waco, tricks the eye and makes viewers think twice about what they expect to see and what is actually there.

“Admitting that we’re human does good things for all of us. Avoiding the tyranny of the perfect is something we’d all better address.”

“But, going on stage and taking the award out of this poor girl’s hands who didn’t choose to get selected for it either, was just not a good look. While I agree with basically everything he said, it’s just a matter of execution. You make yourself the villain, especially as a black man.”

TikTok rewards music that’s made for 15-second dance clips, specifically tailored to cater to our ever-deteriorating attention spans. A catchy hook is all you need to go viral and have your song topping Billboard and Spotify charts, no matter how the rest of the song sounds.

“Stay on your toes, ready for your chance,” Jacob Reiger said. “In the meantime, there’s still things you can do every day to make yourself better.”

“A lot of people come to Baylor thinking that everyone around them is Christian. People need to realize that there is a diverse population at Baylor,” Sobh said. “Don’t look at things at face value. It’s so easy to stick to stereotypes.”

Movie lovers can be divided over what makes a good film. Is it explosions, or is it explosive romance? Is it attention to detail and plot, or is it the way the movie makes you feel that really matters? Two Baylor students weighed in with their opinions.

No matter your major or how many hours of classes you’re taking, make sure to take advantage of every resource Baylor offers to help alleviate some of the weight of extra costs, school and anything life throws at you this semester.

Nobody could top the worst-dressed and least on-theme celebrities of the night being Kylie Jenner and Sebastian Stan. Jenner caused a complete meltdown on Twitter by wearing a baseball cap to the Met Gala, which is unacceptable no matter the theme, and was made only more confusing by her pairing it with an actual wedding dress and a mesh top.
