“Working with the Lariat has always been a dream for me ever since I visited campus as a freshman. Despite our mistakes, I believe in the institution of The Baylor Lariat. Journalism is difficult. It requires not only strong media skills, but also a strong will to do your very best, day in and day out covering campus news for the Baylor audience.

“The future of our publication is never secure. Every semester, our staff has turnover, offering challenges to fill the holes left by graduates, and opportunities to push the boundaries of what has been attempted in the past. You can be a part of this ongoing experiment of student journalism. Our survival depends on the effort of people like you to come in with new ideas and ways of interacting with and serving our readers and community.”
