“I came to the Lariat expecting to work hard and learn a lot. I did not expect to grow as close to the people as I have. I talk to several staff members more than my own parents. We might as well be family. We get into arguments like we are. We’re there for each other’s best and worst days like a good family is.
“When you get down, they’ll hold you up, and you’ll need someone to hold you up from time to time. I couldn’t do the jobs I’ve done here without them, and I’m glad I didn’t have to.”
