Apply to be a part of the Lariat staff; editors share memories of the job

“To be quite honest, this job asks a lot of you. As we all do from time to time, you’re bound to mess up. The thing about messing up on this job, though, is that your mistakes will be out there for everyone to see. This can be daunting, but I’ve found that it has helped me learn to not tear myself apart about every mistake. And I know that even when I do mess up, I’m surrounded by co-workers and advisers who want to see me succeed. Everyone on the Lariat staff is truly on your side, and when those inevitable mistakes are made, they will be there to pick you up, dust you off and move on to the next thing together.”
