While the much-anticipated Thanksgiving break approaches, many Baylor sports are still in full swing. There aren’t any events on Thanksgiving Day, but no need to worry: If you have a craving for more Baylor Athletics, it can be cured by a stacked slate of green and gold over the rest of the weeklong break.

With the exception of a proposition to increase the mandatory retirement age for state judges, Texans passed all proposed constitutional amendments on the ballot into law Tuesday. According to McLennan County elections administrator Jared Goldsmith, 538 people voted at the Mark and Paula Hurd Welcome Center, which was a newly appointed voting site on Election Day.

Second chances don’t come often. That’s what makes those moments bigger. With the opportunity to right a wrong, No. 8-seeded Baylor soccer has its shot at redemption against No. 9 seed Cincinnati on its biggest stage yet — the 2023 Sprouts Farmers Market Big 12 Soccer Championship.

“My coaches tell me that my walk-up song is ‘I want it all and I want it now,’” head coach Mitch Thompson quipped. “That’s just the way it is, and that’s probably true. I’m a really impatient guy, and I do want it all, and I want it now, so give it to me now and let’s do it.”

Let me preface what’s to come with a statement I truly believe – Dave Aranda is an elite defensive coordinator with a great knowledge of the game and has the makings of a successful head coach. With that said, I don’t think he resembles a ‘successful’ head coach in the modern collegiate game.
