The faces change, but the headlines stay the same for Baylor tennis. The men and women hoisted two Big 12 championship trophies last weekend as both teams ended the regular season as conference champions for the third consecutive year.

For the first time since 2009, Baylor baseball was swept at home by a Big 12 rival. The Bears hung in the balance late in games one and three, but the Kansas Jayhawks’ offense thumped a lethal strike to Baylor’s Big 12 championship hopes over the weekend by earning a three-game road sweep.

Out of the 32 college basketball conferences in Division I, the Big 12 has the number one conference RPI thanks to impressive wins in nonconference play against the likes of Duke, Kentucky, Colorado and Michigan among others.

It was a heartbreaking weekend for Baylor soccer (8-5-3, 1-4-1) as it added two more tallies to the loss column after falling 1-0 against Iowa State in overtime on Friday and 2-0 against Kansas on Sunday.

Baylor played sound soccer this weekend, but came up short on the road in two tough matches.
