With four games remaining in the regular season, the young No. 10 Baylor volleyball team has set itself up for a Big 12 championship — if they can run the table. A motto of “stay ready, don’t get ready” keeps everyone engaged.
The No. 3 Lady Bears secured the outright Big 12 title with a dominant 91-75 performance on Saturday against the TCU Horned Frogs at the Ferrell Center. Saturday’s game was one of four chances Baylor had to guarantee a non-tie for the Big 12 trophy.

For the seventh time overall, the Baylor women’s tennis team won the Big 12 Championship with a 4-1 victory over No. 25 Oklahoma State on Sunday at the Bayard H. Tennis Center.
The No. 6 Lady Bears had the chance to lock up the Big 12 regular season title and the number one seed for the Big 12 tournament, but could not defeat the West Virginia Mountaineers. Baylor (25-4, 15-2) lost to West Virginia (26-3, 15-2) 71-69 Sunday at the Ferrell Center. To win any kind of championship takes a tremendous amount of work. We battled a lot of adversity this year and it was great to see a completely new team have this experience.”
The No 1. Lady Bears won the Big 12 title after losses by Oklahoma and Iowa State on Sunday, but they still need to work to secure a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament.
Under head coach Kim Mulkey, the Lady Bears are now 150-10 in regular season, non-conference games.
Baylor will face off against Texas at noon on Saturday in the Ferrell Center.
