The Baylor Wind Ensemble is traveling through the cinematic ages this week with its upcoming concert, “A Night at the Movies,” a film-focused program set for 7:30 p.m. Friday in Jones Concert Hall. The free concert marks the first time in Baylor Wind Ensemble history that an entire program is dedicated to movie music.
With the holidays on the way, perhaps you’re looking to do some early gift shopping for friends and family. Get that bookworm in your life their fill of good reads at the annual library book fair, or browse local artisan goods at the farmers’ market. And don’t forget about All-University Thanksgiving!
It’s a good thing Baylor is no slouch when it comes to putting on events and performances. So, do yourself a favor this semester by breaking out of that endless cycle and checking out some of these arts and entertainment events put on by fellow classmates and peers and snag some CAE credits while you’re at it.
Musicians dressed to the nines and numerous attendees poured into Jones Hall on Thursday night for the Baylor Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble concert. This was no ordinary show, as world-renowned composer and conductor Frank Ticheli made a guest appearance at the concert where students played several of his compositions.
