Cultivate 7Twelve, an art gallery located on Austin Avenue, will be closing its doors for good in January 2025. Owner Debbie Wright announced the news via an Instagram post on Oct. 31.

Hidden in the heart of Thrst Coffee is an art gallery that aims to spotlight unique artists and bring the Waco community together through art. Located east of downtown Waco, 507 Gallery is the creation of Thrst Coffee owner Andreas Zaloumis and curator Josh Collins.
From a Waco postal worker to a renowned Hermès artist, Kermit Oliver now finds his wearable art on display through Art Center Waco’s “Hermès in the Heart of Texas” exhibition.
“I think more Baylor students should kind of get involved,” Chambers said. “I didn’t even know that the Waco Friends of the Climate was as active in the community as they are, which is really awesome. You know, nothing is going to change unless so many people get involved.”
“For so long women have been confined and suffocated and not allowed to celebrate who they are; that fact that we’re able to now is just so amazing,” Almon said.
After almost two years of operation, Legacy Café and Art Gallery is looking to energize its clientele. James Lafayette, owner and manager of the café, has announced plans to open a private club in the upstairs section of the building that has been largely unused.
Lafayette said the club would feature a TV/lounge area where customers can relax. There will be two adjacent rooms, one for foosball and air hockey and other arcade-like games, and one quieter room for cards, chess or reading.
