In Dr. Lorynn Divita’s fashion forecasting class, which she has taught since 2011, students learn about more than whatever style may be in or out next season. They examine current events, human behavior and history to understand the “why” behind what people wear.

Senior apparel design and product development majors showcased their work at the annual runway show and luncheon Thursday afternoon to commemorate their time at Baylor coming to a close. Hosted by Baylor Round Table, the event gave aspiring fashion designers and models a taste of the industry while highlighting students’ work.
The student-run organization Apparel Professionals hosted a clothing swap on Fountain Mall on Monday, where students could easily refresh their wardrobes while embracing a more sustainable approach to fashion.
What began as a small vocational track has evolved into a space where creativity, commerce and conscience intertwine — the fashion and apparel programs within the Department of Human Sciences and Design.
