TCU and Baylor have taken their rivalry to a new level as they compete to see whose young alumni will donate the most money between Oct. 25 and Nov. 22.

Alumni who have graduated between 2003 and 2012 are encouraged to donate to their alma mater. The first university to have 10 percent of young alumni participate wins the competition. In Baylor’s case, 2,700 participants are needed.

As Baylor seniors prepare for the transition from college into the professional realm, they will also need to prepare for a transition in their email accounts.

In the past, university policy allowed Baylor graduates a non-specific grace period to continue using student emails. However, the costs of licensing every used email account, coupled with the decrease in available server space, prompted Baylor’s Information Technology Services Department to find an alternative best suited to alumni needs, said Becky King, associate vice president for information technology and deputy CIO.

Baylor alumni will come together to share their ideas regarding the university’s future at strategic planning community input sessions in 12 cities across the nation, beginning this week. The sessions will conclude in April.
