“Students can donate their swipes all year long, it is not limited to the season of Thanksgiving,” Whitmore said. “Events like these are a big reminder how much of a social aspect eating and sharing a meal with other is, which is why we use All-University Thanksgiving as a big push for students to share what they have with those less fortunate in their community.”

A Season of Thanksgiving is Baylor’s university-wide campaign that encourages the Baylor community to take time to express gratitude for the people and blessings in their lives. One of the activities on campus that is encouraging a reflection of gratefulness is writing notes of appreciation.
While they may be known for wearing their classic green-and-white striped shirts and riding tandem bikes, members of Student Foundation contribute to Baylor in so many more ways than they will ever be recognized for.
Every year, the Baylor Student Foundation joins forces with student government and Baylor Dining to put on All-University Thanksgiving, providing the Baylor community with an opportunity to gather together for an early Thanksgiving dinner.

It’s one of the most important lessons I’ve learned so far in college — to put down my books, step back from my studies and realize that there is so much more to college than its academic aspect; there is so much living to be done in these four years.
