The state Rep. said he cares about improving safety not only school-wide, but in individual classrooms after speaking with many teachers. Anderson said the classrooms must be a safe environment for learning and not places to discipline students.
“I think people trust me with the microphone [because] I’m not going to say anything that will reflect poorly on Baylor,” Browning said. “I love Baylor, so I’m not trying to be edgy with jokes that could risk Baylor’s reputation. I need to be excited about the students and get out of the way.”
“Cats have been on campuses for decades and, pretty much since Baylor’s been here, there have been cats. We have to keep control of the population of cats that are living on campus,” Nolan said. “If we don’t, they’re just going to have more kittens and create more issues.”
“I think that Baylor has responded really well to the earthquakes,” Cole said. “They have shown empathy and have shown their support in ways that uphold the Christian mission of Baylor.”

Despite adverse weather conditions and sudden venue changes, the Baylor population and the Waco community came to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the dedication ceremony of the Baylor Community Garden.
The Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce has received the Environmental Protection Agency’s Energy Star this year after earning a grade of 98 in energy performance, according to a statement released by the chamber.
StoryCorps, a nonprofit organization dedicated to recording and preserving oral history, is visiting Waco this holiday season.
