With Interstate-35 separating Baylor’s campus from the “grease pit,” navigating Waco can seem awfully challenging without a car. However, there are plenty of things to do and places to see all within walking distance of campus.
2023 is the year of the rabbit, a symbol of hope and prosperity. Given the last two years, the luck of the rabbit is much needed. Thanks to East Market and Goods, the Waco community was able to experience just that.
While neither entrepreneurs envisioned owning a coffee shop as their ‘when I grow up’ trope, they have successfully created a brand that has spread kindness throughout the Waco community.
“We’re really hoping that we’re gonna be able to widen and increase our capacity [to] hopefully meet more needs,” Whitmore said.
“Recently, many of the shows have been sold out within 30-45 minutes,” Gilliam said. “Over 13,000 tickets will be sold for the show this year. There are 2,200 seats available for each of the six performances.”
“You may be looking at your notes and just reading them over and over and over, and that is not the most effective way to study,” said Baum. “That’s where I come in and show them when to study and how to study effectively so hopefully they don’t lose their mind.”
