In the last decade, rap has been dominated by the big three: J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar and Drake. The three rappers have established their own respective styles, which have achieved greatness in their own ways.

When the classes you’re registering for are already hard, it’s difficult to focus on crafting a schedule, hoping it works out and dealing with the pain of waiting when you don’t get in. When it comes to waitlist options and scheduling, students are left in the dark without much guidance on how to approach the coming semester.

People say matcha is an acquired taste, but if you order it the right way, it really lives up to the hype it gets online.

When I first thought about UT and OU leaving the conference, the last thing I thought about was how it would affect Texas’ economy and schools.

On Aug. 13, Baylor announced new protocols for COVID-19, which require masks in classrooms and labs and implemented twice weekly testing for those without an exemption. Its precautions, while certainly better than nothing, are a stark departure from the caution of last year’s response and can be characterized only as a weak and irresponsible attempt to curb the greatest public health crisis of our time.

Dorm life is … special. It’s a rite of passage every freshman must experience. However, going into my sophomore year and living in a house, I can say that I enjoy my situation much, much more.

The only way for us to contain the virus and end the pandemic is for everyone to get vaccinated.

After grueling hours of preparing and studying for a test, I walked out of the test room accomplished and feeling good about myself only to hear, “You only did well on that test because you’re Asian.”

Coming to Baylor, I knew that it’d mostly consist of Baptist students, but I kept my chin up thinking, “It’ll be fine! There are so many more denominations and religions other than Baptist! You’ll fit right in.” Maybe I shouldn’t have let myself believe that last bit.

While many states could theoretically claim to be the best state in the United States, only one can own that crown. Yes, Arkansas, is the best state in the mighty USA.

Being a student-athlete is difficult. We have to worry about academics, performance, health and the list goes on. But think about adding this pandemic to these stresses and how much they can affect a student-athlete mentally and physically.

Taking classes outside of my major to fulfill degree requirements lead to some of my favorite Baylor memories. I believe these requirements ultimately made me savvy in several areas, and I am so grateful for that.

While course evaluations happen every semester and hold nothing new for students, Covid-19 has played a significant role in how classes were taught this semester. Keep in mind that professors have no more control over a global pandemic or how the university reacts than you do.
