    Dinner at Lighthouse Coffee and Wine | Sept. 3 & Sept. 10 | 7 p.m. | Barnett’s Public House; 624 Washington Ave. | $25 per person | A four-course catered meal from specialty chefs at Barnett’s Public House. Each week the menu changes, so choose a weekend that best supports your appetite.

    “Fool Proof: or, Curses, Fooled Again!” | Sept. 3 at 7:30 p.m. & Sept. 5 at 2:30 p.m. | Brazos Theatre; 7524 Bosque Blvd. | Tickets are $26.50 | Come view the world premiere performance of Brazos Theater troupe member B.J. Williams’, “Fool Proof!,” a play written about a case of mistaken identity, again and again. This event is family-friendly and filled with boos, hisses and plenty of cheer.

    Westfest | Sept. 3-5 | All Day | South Main Street, West, Texas 76691 | Attraction prices range from $5-$30, depending on event | A weekend-long event filled with live music, arts and crafts, a carnival, parade, 5K and more.

    First Friday Yoga at Cultivate 7Twelve | Sept. 3 | 6 p.m. – Midnight | 712 Austin Ave. | $10 at the door | A yoga event hosted in the Cultivate 7Twelve gallery, followed by free drinks, live music and art. You will receive a $5 voucher for any gallery purchase.

    Waco’s Downtown Farmers Market | Sept. 4 | 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Courthouse Parking Lot; 500 Washington Ave. | Free | An assortment of local vendors that provide products such as produce, meats and greenery.

    Improv Comedy of Waco | Sept. 4 | 7:30 p.m., doors open at 7 p.m. | Brazos Theatre; 7524 Bosque Blvd. | Tickets are $15.50 per person | This fully improvised comedy show happens every first Saturday of the month. Come out and participate in this fun event that includes a snack bar.

    Tacky Prom sponsored by the Union Board | Sept. 4 | 9 p.m. – 1 a.m. | Barfield Drawing Room in the Bill Daniel Student Center | Free | Come and join the Union Board in their first Sundown Saturday of the year. The night will be filled with karaoke, drinks and fun! The theme is Tacky Prom, so your tackiest attire is desired!

    Stars and Stripes Music Festival | Sept. 4 | 6 p.m. | McLane Stadium | $5 ticket for students, $30 presale, $35 at the door for non-students | A family-friendly event filled with food, drinks and good music. The headliner is Easton Corbin with performances from Kylie Frey and Cory Morrow.

    Pat McKee’s Jazz Trio | Sept. 4 | 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. | Kissing Tree Vineyards; 109 W. Third St., Eddy, Texas 76524 | Reservation required | The trio will be playing live at the Kissing Tree Vineyards. Make reservations for dinner, wine and music by clicking the link.
