The first ever Heart of Texas Chili Festival was a success despite cold temperatures and freezing rain. Over 20 teams participated in the chili cook-off, to see who has the best chili in central Texas. Other activities included live music, a poker run, a margarita competition and children’s activities.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Heart O’ Texas Fair & Rodeo scholarship fund which awards scholarships to students in the county.
