On March 22, Kaptive Kandles will host “The Experience,” an event where attendees can immerse themselves in the art of candle making for $35. Open to participants ages 10 and up, the event invites the community to explore the craft in a welcoming, interactive setting.
Beyond making custom cookies, Keith also enjoys sharing her craft through cookie decorating workshops. She hosted classes in January and February and has another planned for April 12 at McLennan Community College from 10 a.m. to noon for $69.
“Serving as president and carrying on from those before me is a distinct honor and privilege,” Haines said. “Particularly because as I have looked at the list of presidents, there are many that I have known and have been friends with, never imagining that I would ever become president of such an esteemed organization.”
In honor of Women’s History Month, the Tau Alpha Chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity hosted “Tribute to a Black Woman,” celebrating the achievements, leadership and resilience of Black women within the university community. The evening was filled with moments of inspiration, discussion workshops and the recognition of women who have made a significant impact at the university.
The variety of workouts is something GAIN heavily emphasizes, Schippers said. The organization offers them to entice women of all different fitness backgrounds to join the club without leaving anyone high and dry.
