The No. 7 Lady Bears defeated the Oklahoma State Cowgirls 81-64 at the Ferrell Center on Sunday, earning their 20th win on the season and widening the gap even more in the Big 12 standings.

On Family Night at the Ferrell Center, fans were treated to a tightly contested rivalry game that saw No. 7 Baylor (18-3, 8-1) earn its league-leading eighth win in conference play against the Texas Longhorns in a 87-73 contest.
Baylor head coach Kim Mulkey knew her team would be challenged by Texas on the boards more than any team has all season, saying the Longhorns (14-7, 5-4) are possibly “the best rebounding team in the league.” The Lady Bears stood their ground early in the rebound battle. Texas edged out Baylor by a narrow 24-22 rebounding margin in the first half.

It was clear in the first few possessions that Texas Tech was going to be in an uphill battle against the No. 9 Lady Bears. Baylor handily defeated Texas Tech 92-43 at the Ferrell Center on Wednesday.
The Lady Bears (17-3, 7-1) started the half with poise, finding quality looks for senior guard Odyssey Sims, senior guard Makenzie Robertson and freshman forward Nina Davis throughout the half.

Although Tech’s record (6-13, 0-8) may indicate it is an inferior team to Baylor (16-3, 6-1), the Lady Raiders are a team with grit and determination.
