Over weekends and holiday breaks, Pack of Hope provides food to 420 food-insecure Waco ISD students from kindergarten through eighth grade. For those looking to get involved, vice president Sue Hanson said the organization welcomes volunteers from 5:30 to 7 p.m. every Tuesday and from 7 to 8:30 a.m. every Wednesday at Columbus Avenue Baptist Church.

Bozarth said the Pet Partners of Central Texas organization is as involved in the community as they can be, and she sees a positive effect when her therapy dog, Bentley, interacts with Baylor students. Baylor has set a university-wide recycling record for the second year in a row.
In 2012, the university recycled 440.71 tons, breaking its previous record of 414.34 in 2011 by more than 25 tons. All of the university’s recycling is weighed by SunBright Disposal Services, which reports the weight of the recycling to the university.
