American Idol winner and mulit-platinum singer Phillip Phillips will perform at the inaugural event of McLane Stadium which the Baylor Bears will now call home.
The first experiences a student has at Baylor are some of the most memorable. The Traditions Rally and Late Night are annual events that start the semester off strong, but unlike previous years, a sentimental factor accompanies this year’s events.
On Thursday, the rally will be held at Floyd Casey Stadium for the last time. Come fall 2014, the Traditions Rally will take place at the new football stadium.
Baylor Student Activities plans the Traditions Rally and Late Night to introduce new students to Baylor’s unique culture.
Slime caps, line jerseys and fireworks. That’s right, it’s time for Traditions Rally to ring in the 2012 football season as the Bears take on SMU Sunday night.
But first, the festivities will begin with free food during the student tailgate at 6:30 p.m. today at Floyd Casey Stadium.
This year’s Labor Day weekend is going to be much different than previous years.
Normally the campus would be practically closed this weekend, with only a select few residential restaurants open. People usually head home for the Labor Day weekend and visit friends and family.
Traditions Rally
will serve as the official football home opener rally at 7 p.m. this Friday at Floyd Casey Stadium. Grab your student ID, and come out for food, live music, and fun. sponsored by Baylor Athletics, Student Activities, the Baylor Activities Council, and Greek Life
Hundreds of freshmen united in voice with the spirit squad and the Golden Wave Marching Band ushered in the beginning of the Baylor Bear’s football season.
