It’s about time — there’s finally a fall chill in the air! And with the weather comes midterms, so here are some fun fall festivities and Waco happenings to take your mind off the reading, writing and ‘rithmetic.

Baylor’s status as the largest Baptist university in the world raises the stakes for local Baptist ministers. Crafting weekly 30- to 40-minute sermons on ancient texts is already difficult, but doing so for an audience of biblical scholars and Koine Greek instructors is even more demanding.
The Waco Pride Network hosted its annual Out on the Brazos event Saturday at Brazos Park East. This year, doctrine and diversity intersected as five churches attended to show support for the LGBTQ+ community.
What started as a small community picnic in 2017 has since grown to include over 100 vendors and 500 attendees. The event will be a day of listening to various musical talents, enjoying food truck grub, forming friendships and bonding over shared goals, dreams and experiences.
As temperatures drop this weekend, it’s the perfect time to get out into Waco and explore all there is to offer — from autumn festivals to rubber duck races.
