If public libraries disappeared tomorrow, the world would lose more than books and programs. We would lose one of the rare places where people of different backgrounds can exist on an equal platform, outside of financial or societal barriers. We would lose access to free information and a space where communities can flourish.

Many museum and library organizations have begun to organize and plan for next steps should the IMLS face changes. The American Alliance of Museums hosted a webinar where they explained the possible future of museums across the country. One of the webinar’s many attendees was Eric Ames, a Baylor museum studies lecturer and the associate director for Advancement, Exhibits & Community Engagement for Baylor Libraries.

Finals season is rapidly approaching, and with it comes students cramming into libraries, staying up late and stressing to get all their studying done the night before a test. Here are some tips on what to do and what not to do during finals season.
