Based on the core themes of care and belonging, the Graduate Student Association will host its second Diversity Gala from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 29 at George W. Truett Theological Seminary. The gala will include a variety of speakers and panelists, bringing the Baylor and Waco communities together for a conversation about the importance of diversity.

The Baylor Graduate School announced the addition of the Speight-Jenkins and Pinetree apartment complexes as two new graduate student housing options. Starting in the 2024-25 academic year, graduate students can rent these apartments closer to campus.
Dr. Karynecia Conner, GSA’s diversity chair, said she organized the gala with the intention to shine a light on what Baylor is able to do for diversity in its research. In her speech, she said researchers should seek research topics as a means of ministry.
This year, the Baylor Graduate School and the Graduate Student Association partnered to host a week’s worth of events celebrating its students, as Baylor cements itself as a preeminent Christian R1 institution.

Baylor Information Technology Services finished implementing a new Internet filtering tool for the campus network Monday in an effort to further protect anyone on the Baylor network from connecting to untrustworthy sites.
