Zeta Tau Alpha will host its annual Pie-A-Prez event at 6 p.m. on Thursday, inviting presidents from organizations across Baylor’s campus to participate by getting pied in the face on Fountain Mall. This year, the event aims to raise funds for breast cancer awareness and education, specifically early detection of breast cancer using AI technological advances.

Williams said Latina women are not a large population on campus, but they bring a lot of positivity and energy. She said this month shines a light on all women, including Latina women, and having fundraisers and events helps to give back to those who have been overlooked in the past.
In comparison to a school like the University of Texas at Austin, which regularly holds events to support the homeless community and has a social work program that collaborates with the city, it appears that Baylor is missing out on many opportunities.

Baylor’s Board of Regents approved an agreement with the Baptist General Convention of Texas to donate a parcel of land adjacent to campus for a new Baptist Student Ministries center.
The Strategic Planning Group will organize the Give Light funds to improve the university, guided by feedback from the Baylor community. Students, faculty and staff are welcomed to participate in the upcoming semester’s numerous listening sessions.
Welch said for her, raising awareness is so important because trafficking can happen to anyone. With I-35 so close to campus and college students being a prime age for trafficking, Welch said Waco is just as unsafe as any other city, and so is Baylor.
“I know that there are families with financial issues around the nation that haven’t been addressed,” Rabago said. “The kids make up the future generation, and I want to prolong and ensure accessible health care services to them.”
