“For us in particular, this event is a really good community event,” Dr. Matt Quade, associate dean for values-based leadership and director of the Center for Christian Leadership and Ethics, said. “It allows us to gather together, not just with students, but faculty and staff, all gathering together. We can come together within the business school, just for an hour each semester, and spend some time together in prayer and worship.”

“Radical unity and radical prayer have spurred on an extraordinary movement of God at Baylor University over the past seven years,” he said.
In 1945, a group of Baylor students began leading a series of worship gatherings that came to be known as the Waco Youth Revivals. The meetings sparked a nationwide Youth Revival Movement that is registered as one of the largest student-led revivals in American history. Today, FM72 leaders believe God can “do it again.”
Thousands gathered for the Collegiate Day of Prayer on Thursday in Waco Hall, with countless more in overflow locations in Waco and across the world, praying for revival in Generation Z.
For the first time, the 200-year-old Collegiate Day of Prayer is coming to Waco, bringing with it hopes of the same revivalism that touched Asbury University in 2023.
Baylor is taking its local faith globally as it prepares for the Collegiate Day of Prayer — an event dedicated to praying for college students, who are considered a vital part of the church and the next generation of leaders.
