According to Jordy Dickey, director of Student Activities, Lady and her late sister Judge “Joy” Reynolds contributed to the atmosphere of Baylor campus life and the university’s mission. Dickey noted that the bears create academic opportunities for students.

The Baylor community gathered on Saturday at the Bill and Eva Williams Bear Habitat to celebrate the second birthday of Judge Indy and Judge Belle. The party featured special treats, interactive exhibits, a crowd of students, alumni and families eager to celebrate the bears.
Judge Indy and Judge Belle have been on campus for over a month, and they are taking well to Baylor while showing off their distinct personalities.
There will be a Meet the Cubs event from 10 a.m. to noon on Aug. 26 at the Bill and Eva Williams Bear Habitat. Both Indy and Belle will be awaiting visitors amid activities, including giveaways and photo opportunities.

Graduating seniors and students alike swarmed the Bill and Eva Williams Bear Habitat on a sunny Tuesday afternoon to attend a graduation party for one of Baylor’s most beloved icons — Judge Sue Sloan, better known as “Lady.”
This fall, school groups who visit Baylor’s bear habitat will not only have the chance to see the live mascots, but learn about them as well.
