However, that spotless record will be put to the test as Baylor hosts No. 2 Oregon tonight at Getterman Stadium to kick off the 2015 Baylor Invitational. This is the first ranked opponent the Bears will face this season, putting a lot of importance on the nationally televised matchup.
Baylor volleyball kicked off its 2014 season with its annual Green and Gold Scrimmage in front of a home crowd at the Ferrell Center Tuesday night. This is the first time Baylor returned to the floor since the team’s 3-0 loss to Texas Nov. 30 in Austin.
Baylor fans have plenty to follow this weekend as several teams are in action: men’s tennis will be home Friday, Saturday and Sunday for their season opener in the HEB Invitational, women’s cross country competes Friday at the Toledo Inter-Regional Bubble Buster meet in Toledo, Ohio, and on Sunday and Monday, women’s golf will be at the Dick Maguire Invitational tournament in Albuquerque, N.M.
The men’s cross country team has started off with a bang, taking first at the UTA Season Opener last Saturday and second place at the Bear Twilight Invitational Sept. 1.
