The Baylor Alumni Network is hoping to keep recent graduates connected to the Baylor community through an interest group that targets them called the Young Grads’ Network.
The Young Grads’ Network, started in 2003, is one of several interest groups provided to Baylor graduates through the Baylor Alumni Network, and is available for anyone who has graduated from Baylor in the last decade.
Donors can now put their marksmanship skills to the test at an upcoming clay shooting competition to raise funds for student scholarships in Baylor’s business and engineering schools.
The Baylor Alumni Network is hosting the second annual Baylor Top Shot Clay Shooting Competition. The charity competition’s proceeds will go toward student scholarship funds in the Hankamer School of Business and the Rogers School of Engineering. The competition takes place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 6 and will be hosted at Walker Harman Ranch 3502 Rosenthal Parkway in Lorena.
The university has hired former Baylor Alumni Association employees to manage previous BAA programs that are now a part of the Baylor Alumni Network.
Former BAA employees Jan Dodd, Bob Anne Senter and Tessa Jamerson are now employed by the university, said Tommye Lou Davis, Baylor vice president for constituent engagement.
The Baylor Alumni Network aims to bring the Baylor community together and, to do so, the network relies heavily on volunteers.
The alumni network is a part of the Baylor Division of Constituent Engagement, which oversees many of Baylor’s outreach programs. According to the mission statement, the goal of the alumni network is to create opportunities for Baylor alumni, parents and other constituents to come together and build meaningful relationships.
A new national survey reveals that Baylor alumni believe Baylor is an excellent school and top in quality education.
Last fall, 609 alumni were asked to describe their experience of Baylor University and their time here, said John Barry, Baylor’s vice president of marketing and communications.
