More uncertainty looms over international students after a federal judge in Massachusetts ordered the postponement of the “Duration of Status” (D/S) rule change Sept. 14, leaving the policy without a new start date. The Baylor ISSS Office issued a statement on the matter via email to all international students Sept. 15, the day the rule change was originally set to take effect.

In classrooms across Baylor, an epidemic has gone silently unnoticed: a lack of motivation to learn. While this seems to be addressed in the conversation about literacy rates and artificial intelligence, it has yet to be discussed that students would rather do homework or respond to emails than sit attentively in class.

It is an absolute privilege not to sympathize or empathize with homeless people. People in general, especially Baylor students, need to take it upon themselves to step out of that privilege, enter the real world and do as God commanded us: giving to those in need.

The debate spans as far back as the Hawaiian pizza was created, but I am here to finally settle it: Pineapple is a fantastic pizza topping. Backed by science and history, I prove and solidify pineapple’s place in the pizza kitchen.

College will be some of the busiest and most social years of our lives. Between joining different organizations, staying on top of school work and trying to hang out with your friends as much as you can, it becomes difficult not to say yes to everything. My advice is to take a few moments, with or without people, and to simply sit in silence.

We live in a time and country with no shortage of things worth caring about. Yet too often, an issue does not seem to matter until its consequences are relevant, immediate, visible or catastrophic. A war thousands of miles away is an easy headline to scroll past; a local decision can happen without most of the people it affects ever knowing; an injustice can continue quietly for years if it never becomes dramatic enough to command national attention.
