Latry’s visit to Waco is part of Baylor School of Music’s Showcase Series, where he will perform works by Guilmant and Bach before closing with a live improvisation on a surprise theme. The concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Jones Concert Hall, followed by a master class with Baylor students the next day. Admission to the concert is free and open to the public.

Police arrested 17 students at Texas Christian University early Wednesday morning, including four members of the football team, as part of an investigation into students selling drugs.

A Texas woman who prosecutors say was tortured for 12 days seemed to be in shock as she spoke to authorities following her rescue, initially defending the man accused of hanging her from a deer-skinning device and chaining her to a bed, according to a recording of the interview played at his trial Tuesday.

Texas voters turned out in historic numbers Tuesday, delivering victories for State Rep. James Talarico and forcing a runoff between Attorney General Ken Paxton and incumbent Sen. John Cornyn in the state’s U.S. Senate contest that claimed national attention. The total early-voting turnout of more than 2.5 million marks the highest ever for a midterm primary election. The results also kicked off the 2026 midterm cycle.
