If you’ve watched Baylor football this year, the games seem to roll together with déjà vu. Saturday’s loss to Houston was just the latest chapter in a season marked by promise, collapse, hope and a final sting.
Fresh off the program’s best season in seven years, Baylor soccer has secured head coach Michelle Lenard with a new contract extension following a year defined by top-10 rankings, marquee wins and a culture shift that’s reshaped the program’s trajectory.
The Bears started slow but picked up steam in the second half, out-shooting the Aztecs 38-26 in the paint.
The Bears dropped the second game of the Players Era Festival at the hands of Rick Pitino’s Red Storm. Baylor will play one more game in the tournament before returning to Waco.

There are confirmed casualties from the explosion in West, but not yet a confirmed number. According to some reports, the number could be as high as 70. Hundreds are injured.
The explosion occurred at West Fertilizer plant in West Wednesday night. Firefighters were responding to a fire at the plant when an explosion went off that rocked the small town. A four-block area around the explosion site is destroyed.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry says state resources have been mobilized to help local authorities after a fertilizer plant explosion near Waco.
The governor released a statement late Wednesday night, saying state officials are “monitoring developments and gathering information as details continue to emerge about this incident.”
