At the beginning of the spring semester, Baylor students were made aware by their professors that Baylor’s attendance policy has been brought back to its normal accountability. Now, students are expected to meet each of their professors’ required attendance points in order to reach academic success.
In the age of COVID-19, no one is a stranger to Zoom calls. However, for a group of educators led by Dr. Bradley Carpenter — an associate professor of educational leadership — a click of the “join meeting” button is followed not by a lecture or a conference, but by meditation and discussion on self-care.
A typical day for Waco senior Harris Siddiq consists of heading to class from noon to 4 p.m., going to work at 8 p.m., then hopping on Twitch to stream Call of Duty: Warzone from 11 p.m. until around 4 or 5 a.m. While Siddiq said his schedule is hectic, he said it is worth it to connect with people.
Baylor’s School of Engineering and Computer Science is celebrating its 27th year as a school.

Texas voters turned out in historic numbers Tuesday, delivering victories for State Rep. James Talarico and forcing a runoff between Attorney General Ken Paxton and incumbent Sen. John Cornyn in the state’s U.S. Senate contest that claimed national attention. The total early-voting turnout of more than 2.5 million marks the highest ever for a midterm primary election. The results also kicked off the 2026 midterm cycle.

The White House said the campaign is aimed at dismantling Iran’s military and toppling its government.
Dr. Joshua Alley, assistant professor of political science, said part of the Trump administration’s interest in Greenland has to do with America’s national security strategy.
