The City of Waco is preparing to open up more places in three different phases, allowing for more activities and events to happen. While including continued safety measures and increased occupancy in some places, this new plan is getting students excited for normalcy.
Around 7:45 p.m. on Thursday, a person was shot at Council Acres Park, located on the corner of 15th Street and Bagby Avenue.
Last week marked one year since the first day of virtual classes due the pandemic. What was at first anticipated to be a two-week hiatus from on-campus activities turned into a year of online and learning at a distance.
On Saturday, a virtual robotics demonstration will be hosted in order to raise money for the Baylor University’s Women’s Council scholarships.

Lilia Gonzalez, director of nurses, said Health Services would remain available to monitor potential measles outbreaks and help students. Though the Texas measles outbreak has ended, Health Services continues providing preventative measures for other potential outbreaks.
