The theme of the recent Sundown Sessions event on Sept. 7 was “Lego Crazy,” which included free lego stets for the first 50 attendees, as well as karaoke and board games. As opposed to the 40-80 attendees usually present at these sessions, “Lego Crazy” tallied 120 Baylor students.
“Students may feel like I have to do it on my own, I need to solve it by myself, instead of asking for help,” Wainscott said. “Sometimes professors may not realize that you are shy to ask for help, and my advice for new students is that give yourself patience because it will take a little of time to get you done everything.”
For Davis, it wasn’t just the on-field performances that made football games so grim last season. A lot of students find it hard to embrace the game day atmosphere whether the Bears win or lose, Davis said. For unaffiliated students, the experience can be lacking.
“You can do it as long as you’re truly taking care of your body,” she said. “Know how much stress you can handle, and don’t push yourself more than you should.”

No one adopting a puppy expects it to die after two weeks, but that is exactly what happened to several Baylor students.
Two Baylor students will have the opportunity to interact with the Waco community on a daily basis, possibly beginning in the fall.
Hundreds of Baylor students and faculty, city officials and adults joined together for one purpose Sunday night: to combat sex trafficking in Waco and beyond.
A six-month wait finally came to an end Thursday when the Waco Independent School District made its final decision regarding its school closings. Now — with nine schools set to close and A.J. Moore students relocating — the school board, students, parents, teachers and community members are waiting for the reveal of new attendance zones, which should come later this month.

President Donald Trump has approved the execution by firing squad of Nidal Hasan, the former Army major convicted of killing 13 people in the 2009 Fort Hood mass shooting, with the execution scheduled for 1 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Central Texas military installation, roughly an hour from Baylor’s campus.
