Four victims of today’s Fort Hood shooting were taken to Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple for treatment of various injuries, said hospital representatives in a press conference this evening.
Fort Hood said a shooting, which resulted in at least one death, occurred on the Army base today.
Fort Hood has reported that it has an active shooter and federal and local agents are heading to the Texas Army base, the FBI and a local sheriff’s office said Wednesday.

Texas voters turned out in historic numbers Tuesday, delivering victories for State Rep. James Talarico and forcing a runoff between Attorney General Ken Paxton and incumbent Sen. John Cornyn in the state’s U.S. Senate contest that claimed national attention. The total early-voting turnout of more than 2.5 million marks the highest ever for a midterm primary election. The results also kicked off the 2026 midterm cycle.
