This is the first win since 1949 for the Bears against the Commodores, and Baylor snaps an eight-game losing streak to Vanderbilt. By Cody Soto Sports Writer Baylor volleyball head coach Jim Barnes will not return next season, according to a release by Baylor Athletic Communications Monday night. Barnes had been the head coach for Baylor’s volleyball program for 11 years, starting in 2003. He is the all-time winningest coach in program history after compiling a 181-170 record over the 11-year mark. Barnes led the Bears to two NCAA tournament appearances in 2009 and 2011, and reached the Sweet 16 level in 2009.
